That'd be ridiculous, and funny.
I often write rather verbose comments on stamps and stuff...
VERY verbose comments... Sometimes with a wee bit of interesting education...
And sometimes for arguments against certain stamps... highly verbose to get through to my points...
Why the dramatic pause?
Like WHEN PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO PRESS THE UPPERCASE/LOWERCASE BUTTON AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE YELLING. Funny.
"And I write stories!!! "
Caps either looks like you're yelling, or you're ranting about something....
like the rant you just made.
How are we supposed to start a conversation with that? I mean, if you like the art, don't you want to have at least a 1-reply conversation with the artist? I do, and I'm really happy when I get a reply.
Saying a one word comment on deviantArt is different from saying the same on Youtube or in real life. It's permanently stuck there and takes up space. Especially when you get 10 comments and they're all one word...
I know this will totally not happen, but I wish there would be a space just for one word or super-short comments next to the regular comments space; like a shoutbox but much neater.
Please people, be more creative!
"LOL" "cute" ⇒ "Thank you."
"This is so funny I laughed out loud! XD" ⇒ "OMG Really? Hahaha, thanks!"
"It's cute. I want to squish it." ⇒ "Awww thanks. Yeah, let's squish the *insert what the cuteness is about here* together shall we. "
See the difference?
I miss the feelings(?) option because
1) I can at least add a feeling emote to a one-word comment/reply. Looks much better.
2) I can add a feeling emote to "proper" replies and not do so to one-words.
Now that you've mentioned it... I miss the feelings option, too...
It looks adorable... and it warms an artist up inside when that is seen!
They also helped organise the comments into groups.
Nether the less... there are always emoticons to show the emotions of a deviant's comment...
like this one-->
So if you really want a reasonable critique then hang out with the popular dudes or show it to your teachers and professors. Otherwise you will get the same thing over and over again.
And is seems like such a waste of space in the comments section. If that's all somebody is going to write, I'd rather they just hit the fav button and move on. Or even do nothing at all. At least then I won't have to feel like I'm obligated to write a stupid "thank you" a million and one times in reply to such comments. =3= 'Cause then that means they've also managed to pull me into wasting cyberspace as well.
Nowadays, I no longer bother to reply to them either.
Great idea for a stamp! A successful first, I must say!
Definitely going in my fav folder. It's a reflection of the frustration that I'm sure many of us feel with our friends and watchers (no matter how much we may love them otherwise).
They're BORING!! XD
I just reply a Thx to them... but then a great conversation spews up when I get a really good looking comment.
...or anything of the sort.
Doesn't help me any.
I got kinda curios now
"So it's kawaii? It's basically cute. But instead of typing "cute" like a normal person, you decide to do the double whammy and say "Kawaii" which demonstrates that you are indeed, twice as stupid"
what annoys me is that half the people using it have no clue what it means.
someone said it was something you say when something is cool/awesome/good
